Accessibility

We want every contractor to be able to read this site and reach us, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger text.

The standard we aim for

We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, Level AA. We are a small business and we do not claim a formal audit. We claim that we check our work and fix what we find.

What we have done

• Every page works with a keyboard alone, and the item you are on shows a visible outline.
• A "skip to the main content" link appears when you press Tab, so you do not have to walk through the top bar on every page.
• Every form field has a real label that stays visible, not a placeholder that disappears as you type.
• Headings run in order, so a screen reader can move through the page by section.
• Text meets the contrast level the guidelines ask for, including the light grey type and the dark example panel.
• Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers instead of being read out as noise.
• Any nonessential motion stops if your device is set to reduce motion.
• The page works at 200 percent zoom and on a phone without sideways scrolling.

Where we know we fall short

We have not tested this site with every combination of browser, device, and screen reader. If something does not work for you, we want to hear about it.

Telling us about a problem

Call, email, or use the form. Tell us the page and what went wrong. You do not need to know the technical term for it. "The menu will not open with my keyboard" is a perfect report.

What happens then

We reply within three business days. If it is something we can fix, we fix it and tell you when it is live. If we cannot fix it quickly, we tell you that honestly and we give you another way to get what you needed, including doing it over the phone with you.
